Gouter Hut

The Mont Blanc ascent is a high montain itinary, dizzy and exposed with natural hazards: rock falls, crevasses, avalanches and often extreme weather conditions are likely to occur. It is crucial for your security that you are well trained and prepared for the ascent, equiped and informed about the conditions. CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NOT MADE A RESERVATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE HUT.
Do not risk it! Climbing the Mont Blanc is a process that must be prepared well in advance, booking a date to rest in the hut is part of this process. Make a reservation, and if the hut is fully booked, postpone your ascent.
CAMPING AND BIVOUACKING.
Like previous years, by ministerial order, any form of camping -including bivouacking- on the Mont Blanc site is forbidden. This will be enforced by local authorities. However, you can camp at the Tete Rousse base camp (50 tents). Please contact the Tete Rousse hut warden to inform them of your wish to camp.

The Gouter hut booking system changes this year. Two channels are provided to make these reservations:
a professional channel for agencies and guides,
a channel for individuals.

Professionals' accounts will be reconfigured. There will be no change for individual customers' accounts.

For guides, there are two distinct cases:


French guides, or freely established foreigners in France:
The guide fills the registration form -which will be available on the website http://refugedugouter.ffcam.fr- stating his professional card number sports instructor provided by the State services and the expiration date of this card ;


Foreign guides:
The guide fills the registration form -which will be available on the website stating http://refugedugouter.ffcam.fr- indicating the number of the declaration receipt delivery service provided by DDCS Ise?re

In any case, the registration will be valid only after the FFCAM has received  by email  all the necessary supporting documents (copy of the business card or receipt for guides, the tourist approval or acknowledgment for agencies), at the following address:

The process of configuration of professional accounts is scheduled to open on February 11, 2016.
The activation time for new account will be a week after receiving the vouchers.
The opening of booking process for professionals is planned on:
March 8, 2016 at 8:30 for 30 beds;
March 10, 2016 at 8:30 for 20 beds;
March 15, 2016 at 8:30 for 20 beds.
The maximum quota per professional (agency or guide) is 9 per reservation day.
When the booking is carried out a guide, if the number of beds requested is greater than 5, the name of a second guide whose account is activated is mandatory.
When the booking is carried out by an agency, the latter must specify the ID of a guide, if the number of beds is less than or equal to 5 -or two guides, if the number of beds requested exceeds 5. These guides' accounts will need to be activated.

Note that the reservation at the GOU?TER hut will be impossible if another booking using the same guide's name, is performed on the same date in another FFCAM hut, and vice versa.

The opening of the booking process for individuals is scheduled from mid-April.

These conditions for all customers are provided for information purposes (consult the official terms and conditions when booking):
The price of the overnight stay will be set at ¤ 55, regardless of the type of client.
This rate will be payable in full upon booking.
It will be possible to cancel the reservation, no later than J-2, 11:59 p.m. (eg reservation for the evening of August 15, cancellation possible until August 13 11:59 p.m.). In this case, a fee of 2 ¤ per night booked will be retained by FFCAM, and repaid the remaining balance. Otherwise, the entire booking amount will be retained by FFCAM.

  • Opening Period : High mountain hut catered for from 01/06 to the end of september. Access to the annex is prohibited; it is exclusively reserved as a refuge in case of fire.
